ALAÏA'S ARCHIVAL ELEGANCE

ALAÏA'S ARCHIVAL ELEGANCE

Azzedine Alaïa, the revered Tunisian-born designer, began his journey in Paris in 1956 and rose to become a master of couture celebrated for his sculptural designs and meticulous craftsmanship. His deep respect for fashion history sparked in 1968 when he was invited to preserve Cristóbal Balenciaga's creations after the closure of the Spanish couturier’s house. This moment ignited Alaïa’s lifelong passion as a collector and guardian of fashion’s legacy.

Throughout Alaïa’s career, he amassed an extraordinary archive of garments by great designers such as Paul Poiret, Madeleine Vionnet, and Elsa Schiaparelli, while also preserving every piece of his own work. His devotion to fashion’s artistry and heritage not only shaped his timeless aesthetic but also left behind a rich historical legacy that continues to inspire. Alaïa celebrates the power of femininity and the timelessness of beauty through his work, with each creation reflecting his commitment to form, technique, and emotion.

Antidote is proud to offer a curated selection of Alaïa shoes and accessories, available exclusively in-store. Known for their refined craftsmanship and striking design, each piece reflects the timeless elegance and bold femininity that define the Alaïa legacy.
