ARCHIVE DIVE: VETEMENTS
A dive into how Vetements’ archive continues to ripple through its present collections. From wrinkled tailoring and layered deconstruction to inverted denim forms and apocalyptic band imagery, these pieces echo the brand’s rebellious roots while recasting them in a modern editorial lens.

The Logo Extreme Shoulder Fitted Zip-Up Hoodie channels the silhouette of the FW16 hooded dress, the season when the brand first wove Cradle of Filth merch into its language. The capsule references a band beloved by Hot Topic–mall-rat fans, yet not especially well-regarded even among metalheads, exemplifying Vetements’ playful embrace of “bad taste” and its subversion of conventional fashion norms.
The Metalized Wrinkled Single-Breasted Jacket mirrors the FW18 crumpled blazer, transforming distorted texture into tailored refinement. The metallic effect is achieved through aluminum-coated stretch wool-blend fibers, allowing the material to be bent and crinkled.
The Desktop Double-Layered T-Shirt echoes the SS18 reconstructed tees, where staples were spliced and re-stitched into fractured new forms.
The Upside-Down Denim Jacket follows in the lineage of the FW19 upside-down puffer, inverting a classic into a subversive icon.
