DISCOVER - MELITTA BAUMEISTER IN ATLANTA

 

 

In partnership with our sister store WISH, we hosted designer Melitta Baumeister alongside her creative and life partner Michal Plata. The evening presented an exclusive selection from her Spring/Summer 2026 collection, alongside insight into her design process and forthcoming work.

 

 

Melitta Baumeister is a German fashion designer based in New York, known for pushing sculptural silhouettes and rethinking how clothing interacts with the body. Her label focuses on form, texture, and construction rather than print, letting shape and material define the design language.

 

 

From sculpted dresses to experimental headwear, her process is driven by innovative textiles and technical fabrics that challenge traditional ideas of ready-to-wear surface design. The result is clothing that feels architectural, tactile, and unconventional.

 

 

Together, the creative duo behind the brand share a focus on innovation and experimentation, building a practice centered on joy, expression, and new ways of dressing.

 

 

Antidote had the pleasure of hosting the design duo on a beautiful night, with shared conversation and insights, the Atlanta community was able to welcome and understand this talented designer.
