Founded in 1919 by Cristóbal Balenciaga, Balenciaga (as it is now known) was a key figure of fashion in the twentieth century. His boundary-pushing silhouettes and minimalistic style have had a lasting impact on the fashion industry. Since 2015, Demna Gvasalia has been Balenciaga’s creative director, infusing the brand with a dark, minimal style and exaggerated silhouettes.
